New Bern – Trinity: The mission of Trinity United Methodist Church is to connect people to Christ through worship, study, and service.
- Brief History: Trinity was a new church start in 1953 supported by the Ten Dollar Club, a faithful emerging membership, and ambassadors from Centenary UMC. The church began as a neighborhood church on the fringe of the city, but now reaches persons throughout the city. The campus consists of a main building containing a sanctuary, welcome center, classrooms, church office, fellowship hall and kitchen. The Trinity Life Center located to the rear of the main building houses Susan’s Cottage, classrooms, and a gym.
- Parking info.: The church has two parking areas: one is a gravel area accessible via Simmons St., and the other is a paved area connected to Elizabeth Ave. Please feel free to park in either!
- Nursery: There is a nursery from 8:45am – 11:15am. The Nursery is located on your left down the educational hallway in the main building. An usher or greeter can direct you to the nursery.
- Welcome Center sign-ups: You are invited to register your participation in ministry events and volunteer to serve using sign-up sheets posted on the Bulletin Board in the Welcome Center.
- Visit the Welcome Center for a First Time Visitor Gift,
- All entrances to the building are handicapped accessible.
- The Church Office is best accessed by entering from the back parking lot through the double glass doors. If the doors are locked during the week, there is a door bell located to the right of the door. There is an intercom at the Elizabeth Ave. entrance to the church.
- Trinity is a part of the Sound District of the North Carolina Conference of The United Methodist Church.
